The UPRIGHT Project Closing Ceremony
Seed for Sustainable Development, in collaboration with the Global Mercy Foundation and in strategic partnership with Education Above All Foundation, has proudly concluded the closing ceremony of the UPRIGHT project, which is a significant initiative in the realm of remote work training. This project is dedicated to fostering the concept of freelancing and empowering young graduates to secure sustainable livelihoods.
The UPRIGHT project directly assists over 100 youth in the Gaza Strip by providing comprehensive training and capacity-building in various fields, including online teaching, freelancing, and self-employment opportunities within emerging companies. Remarkably, the initiative has generated monthly revenues surpassing $15,000, facilitated through more than 250 hours of training and 10 diverse workshops.
In a comment regarding the project’s impact, Mr. Ahmed Al-Kariri, a representative of Seed, stated, “We selected the Global Mercy Foundation as our strategic partner for this crucial intervention in Gaza, aimed at equipping graduates with the skills necessary to navigate the freelancing landscape and execute remote projects. We take pride in our contribution to fostering the Palestinian economy and alleviating suffering in marginalized communities, particularly in Gaza.”

- Direct assistance to over 160 individuals in the remote work sector.
